Week 21 - plus catch-up

Hellooooo.

Long time no write! Doesn't seem like alot has been happening although I guess there has been a bit. Jake keeps us very busy so we tend to forget. Since the last post in September I'll do a chronological order of events since....

Jakey's had 2 more sets of injections.....he is getting better at them now (only cries for a few seconds) although he is really giving the evil eye at the nurse and I've reassured him that we won't send her any Xmas cards.

Early October, Dad and Rosanne arrived from Canada for a few weeks. Jake was spoiled yet again with numerous outfits....his favourite being the Lumberjack get-up. He thinks Grandpops is funny and falls asleep on Rosanne's knee. Can we borrow your knee Rosanne??

Ian's birthday past (eeek, 37)......Jake enjoyed the wrapping paper and his Dad enjoyed his new undies. We also went and had some drinks down the pub.

Then Dave arrived a few weeks later from Qatar (middle east)......he was very good at looking after Jake when I went to have a shower although wasn't very good at changing some nappies (never happened...mmmm). Uncle Dave showed Jake the great television of America and some trashy films - his favourite is now Pimp My Ride (thanks Dave). Dad & Dave also went to Manchester to see Man Utd and Liverpool play at Old Trafford.....

Whilst they were here it was also my 31st birthday. We all went ten pin bowling in the afternoon, Jake loved it, and then went and had some Aussie tucker at an Aussie restaurant here called The Outback. The meals were huge and anyone in Sydney - they were like the meals at Ribs & Rump in Manly. The Flamin' Onion was brilliant.

When everyone had left, I spent my birthday (a few weeks later) with some time off! Yipee! Ian looked after Jake for the day (which I hear they both enjoyed) and I went to a day spa. It's a place near home called Hanbury Manor Golf & Country Club (check it out on the net, very nice). Had a full body exfoliation, massage and facial, followed by pedicure and manicure. As much as it was lovely, I missed my boys loads and wished I spent the day with them instead.

I'm also planning to return to work hopefully in January. In the meantime (since being on maternity leave), my company has been taken over by Tiscali (Italian internet company) and I've had to reapply for my job (with an interview as well). Thankfully, I still have my position.

This leads Jake and I trekking through England looking for day care. Apparently I've left it too late and I could be lucky to get something for March at this rate......many of them have laughed at me when I said for January. Oh well, we'll see.

Other than that, Xmas is coming very quickly which is bringing the weather too. They are expecting a very cold winter and have predicted temps dropping to -14C this month!! We could have a white Xmas.....hope so, haven't had one yet....always seems to snow in January.

Eileen (Ian's mum) is arriving next week for a few days which should be nice....Jake's getting bored of my same tunes and jokes that I keep telling him.

Gotta run but hope you all enjoy the photos.....

Love Sez, Ian & Jakey
