Week 4 - gosh it's flying

Well we have one hungry little man.....Jake just got sick of newborn formula so has now progressed to the next level. We think he'll be drinking Guiness with his father by Xmas!

Apart from that - he loves sleeping (still) and mainly drinking milk. His sneezing is hilarious and he does a great "I'm doing a big poo" face. Oh yeah, and occasionally likes to throw-up all over mummy (particularly when he's not wearing a bib or when he has fresh clean clothes on!!)

Ian and I are finally getting used to this baby caring business. Ian is more entertaining than me - singing songs, talking nonsense, etc etc. I'm more of the one that gets the business done and then I'll have some quiet words with him. Yep, so he's got his father wrapped around his finger big time.

We take him down the local pub's beer garden regularly (to get some fresh air of course!) and he loves it. Needless to say, he'll be asking us to take him down there when he begins speaking - oh dear.

Other than that, we are half way to having his immunisations done and I'll be in more tears than him I'm sure.

Week 2 - what's been happening

Not alot really.

We spend most our time feeding, sleeping, farting, pooing and vomitting. Mixed in with an English heatwave at the moment it hasn't been that pleasant for young Jakey (averaging 30 degrees C everyday over the past week and for the week ahead). When I asked he brought the sunshine with him, well he didn't have to go that far!

We've been to the pub, met up with the other ladies from the ante-natal club (scaring them with the birth story as they're all still pregnant), having BBQ's and mummy singing Neil Finn songs badly.

I've already got my birth certificate, so next we have to make me Australian too.

Must go coz mummy needs to finish making up my next feed. Nanna & Grandad Hughes are coming down tomorrow which should be fun.
